Many remember her for the great tragedy of her life that occurred in 1997 when her husband Lee Miglin was murdered by serial killer Andrew Cunanan in their home. However, Miglin is not only remembered for her achievements - or the district in downtown Chicago that’s named after her. She also spent recent years working with the burn survivors and facially disfigured, as well as supporting female entrepreneurs in the city. Miglin served on Illinois’ Board of Economic Development and Chicago’s tourism committee during the time of Mayor Richard M. However, she was also an active businesswoman and community member. Most people know her as a longtime host on the Home Shopping Network (HSN), which carried her products. While Miglin wasn’t as visible in recent years as she was during her prime, she’s been running her business and selling luxury beauty products for years. An announcement was also posted on the website of her cosmetic company.
